Day 8,
Hard to believe it's already a week.
Got the rest of my stitches that didn't dissolve taken out today. Doc said everything looks good. Feel a bit better too. I also found out today that the reason for my ear being so numb is that when they made the incision, the cut a nerve, a ear nerve I assume :) and they said that my numb ear will stay like that. Bummer. The lob itself has felling, just the top half of my ear is going to be numb. Oh well. Could be worse.
Anyway, everything else is cool. Hope your all having a good week. Friday tomorrow, yeah baby!

I am sorry about your ear! I hope it gets better with time and stops bothering you? Did you go back to work?
I bet you can't wait for activation!!! It's going to be such a great day. When I think about mine, my eyes fill up! Have someone take your picture!
Sometimes the numbing comes back. Mine was numb for about a month and then came back gradually. So when is activation day?
Billy, I asked this question on my blog as well, but what are you doing for rehab? I was told not to do anything, just keep the CI on my head. I am thinking of getting the rehab software and practicing and also getting my husband to do dictations with me.
Hey! Congratulations about your implant!! Oh, Thanks for the comments on my blog...I'm sure your story is going to be great too!! Which by the way, what implant did you get?? I can't wait to see what all you post when you get turned on!! : )
Talk to you later...
~Samantha
Hey!! I didn't know you'd started a blog!! You didn't come tell me!! ;) I'm so glad your surgery went well...I meant to e-mail and check on you and I forgot...my bad :( When is your hookup date?
I felt awful for about three weeks after my surgery. I was really surprised at that since I usually bounce right back from just about everything. I had the same feelings you described...kind of hung over and blah...ugh!
My ear was VERY numb for a long time..it is still a tiny bit so, but most of the sensation came back...perhaps yours will be the same! :)
So how are you these days?
Billy, what an incredible picture!! I just love it! You have a beautiful family. I have never been to Seattle...I have always imagined it as cold and dark and rainy all year long...is that so?
The 30th will be here in NO TIME! Wow...I'm thrilled for you!!!!
